Masks Optional in ACES Clinics Starting April 3rd
Effective April 3, 2023:
We will transition from mandatory to optional masking for our clinicians and clients.*
We thank all our clinicians and clients for continuing to wear masks, day after day for three years, to keep our ACES community safe. We thank you for following our masking recommendations as they continue to change.
We will continue to welcome and support those who want to continue masking due to their medical needs or personal preference. Also, if we see community spread (and impact on healthcare systems) of COVID-19 increasing to medium/high levels, we may recommend (or strongly recommend) wearing a mask again.
You will no longer need to complete a pre-session screening.
Please know we will continue to monitor scientific data, infection rates, and local/national public health guidelines to adjust our approach if/as necessary in the future.
*California's Health Care Worker Vaccine Requirement updated March 3, 2023, still requires workers exempt from the vaccination requirements to wear a mask while in a facility.
We are aware the Coronavirus 2019-nCoV (COVID-19) is causing increased concern in our communities and we want to assure you the health and safety of our clients and staff is always our highest priority. We are closely following the developments surrounding this outbreak, as well as any potential implications it may have for our clients and staff.
