Many neurodivergent children have different needs and desires. Try to identify some of the things these children usually engage with to find a gift that will be perfect for them.

For the Child Who Can Chew Through Anything

We recommend toys that are made specifically for chewing. We have found that many children have oral fixations and chew on things they probably shouldn’t. There are a variety of chewable toys, including necklaces and pencil toppers, that don’t pose a choking danger. The pencil toppers are great for older children who bite their pencils.

For the Kids Who Love Sensory Objects

Look for sensory toys and activities! These come in all shapes and sizes and are great for children who love to touch and feel everything around them. If your child is constantly doing something with their hands, look for fidget toys that fit their needs. Some of these are squares with different tactile objects they can run through their fingers. For kids who love to run, consider liquid tiles they can squish and play with.
